Just weeks before the San Antonio Rock and Roll Marathon my hip was hurting so bad because of a condition I have called Degenerative Joint Disease. It worsened to the point where I didn’t think I was going to be able to run the race. The RnR was something I had always wanted to do as a runner. I went to the expo the day before the race and had my knee and ankle taped up with the KT Tape. I did my hip on my own at home after looking up the tutorial online. The representative there at the expo booth told me that I would feel so much better and that it would carry me through the race as a stronger runner. I had gotten my knee taped there because I wanted to see how the application process was and because I would have pain on long runs because of previous knee surgeries. So I figured if this can help that pain it will most definitely help my hip. The next day I ran the whole 26.2 without any pain in my hip, knee or ankle. It was amazing!!! KT tape gave me my accomplishment! I’m sure without it I wouldn’t have finished or have been without severe pain by the end of the race. I can’t wait to get my hands on more of this tape because with this I know my running days are never numbered.
