KT Tape Offers Drug-Free Pain Relief at Portland Marathon

Orem, UT – Oct. 4, 2010— This weekend at the 26th annual Portland Marathon SPORTS AUTHORITY Sports and Fitness Expo, KT Tape will offer free Kinesiology Therapeutic taping, demonstrations and samples for the second year in a row. With hundreds of runners getting taped at last year’s Expo, KT Tape expects huge numbers of race participants at the booth to maximize their race performance. KT Tape is the first-ever consumer brand of kinesiology tape. For years, elite marathoners have used kinesiology therapeutic tape for injury treatment, pain relief and performance, and now all runners can have access to that same level of support. Sponsor of the Sports and Fitness Expo, SPORTS AUTHORITY, is a KT Tape partner, carrying products in more than 460 locations in 45 states. The Portland Marathon is Sunday, October 10th, with the SPORTS AUTHORITY Sports and Fitness Expo October 8th 11am-8pm and October 9th 9am-7pm.  The Expo, free and open to the public, is at the Ballroom and Exhibition Hall of the downtown Hilton Portland and Executive Tower. Because KT Tape is waterproof and can be worn for up to five days per application, Portland Marathon participants who stop by the KT Tape Booth at the Expo on Friday or Saturday can get taped up for Sunday! KT Tape is used by athletes to treat common sports injuries such as runner’s knee, shin splints, IT Band pain, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, and quad or hamstring strain.  It is the only solution that will provide pain relief and support before, during, and after the race—without restricting motion.  At the Expo, the KT Tape team will be available to answer questions, demo product taping methods, and introduce Portland runners to this revolution in pain relief and performance enhancement.
