Top Taping Tips

We've got the best adhesive on the market, and the most durable product.  But there are some important things to keep in mind so that you get the most out of your tape job. Here are three key taping tips. 1. Make sure your skin is clean and dry before you apply the tape. If you have lotion or oil on your skin before application, the tape will not stick as well. 2. Do not stretch the first 1 1/2" or last 1 1/2 " of tape on either hand. If the ends get stretched, the tape will not stay anchored and is likely to peel off or roll up.3. After you apply a strip, rub the tape vigorously with your hand to make sure the edges are down and to activate the adhesive. On an additional note--Do not use KT Tape if you have been diagnosed with cancer as it may interfere with treatment and disease management strategies employed by your medical professionals. Do not use KT Tape on abdominal applications if pregnant.  Taping during pregnancy is totally safe on backs and obliques, though...but it's not recommended for the abdominal area. Also, there is a great clinic locator on the website where you can find a professional clinician who have incorporated KT Tape into their clinical practice. We encourage you to call on these professionals to get the most from your KT Tape experience. Follow this link to find a clinician near you.
