Bicep
Bicep pain can be caused by a number of issues including muscle tears, pinched nerves, ligament or tendon damage, or swollen lymph nodes – among other things. Lifting too much weight, catching a heavy object, or repeated strain on the muscle and tendons can lead to pain in the biceps, and using proper support and KT Tape applications for arms and hands may help reduce strain during activity. In some cases, overuse or sudden load can contribute to biceps tendinopathy or irritation around the distal area of the tendon.
The pain will either be along the biceps muscles or at the front of the shoulder, indication biceps tendonitis. Pain along the muscle is more common in acute injuries, and pain at the front of the shoulder is more common in conditions that have developed over time. People experiencing ongoing discomfort may consider supportive options like tape for bicep tendonitis to help manage upper arm pain related to inflammation.
KT Tape can provide support, reduce pain, and reduce swelling for many injuries*. If you are dealing with irritation from overuse or mild bicep pain, learning how to KT Tape bicep using proper taping techniques can help support the tissue and improve mobility during activity. However, pain at the bicep can range from a minor issue to a severe problem. If you are uncertain, see a medical professional, especially if symptoms suggest a possible bicep tear.
