Orem, UT – Oct. 29, 2010— For the first time ever, KT Tape will be offered for free to competitors at the New York Marathon Health and Fitness Expo. KT Tape is partnering with one of NYC’s premier specialty running stores, the New York Running Company to provide runners with pain relief and injury support. KT Tape clinicians and staffers will tape up runners and hand out samples.
KT Tape is the first-ever consumer brand of kinesiology tape. For years, elite marathoners have used kinesiology therapeutic tape for injury treatment, pain relief and performance, and now all runners can have access to that same level of support.
The ING New York City Marathon is Sunday November 7th, with the Health and Fitness Expo on Nov. 4th from 10am-8pm, Nov. 5th from 10am-8pm and Nov. 6th 10am-8pm. The Expo, free and open to the public, is located at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in Hall 3E on 11th Ave. at 35th St in Manhattan.
KT Tape is pleased to bring Dr. Steven Shoshany to the New York Running Company booth to help tape up runners. Recognized as an expert in the field of spinal rehabilitation and pain management, Dr. Shoshany has been a featured guest on the Today Show and was one of the first NYC clinicians to use Kinesiology Therapeutic Tape in his SOHO practice.
Because KT Tape is waterproof and can be worn for up to five days per application, NYC Marathoners who stop by the KT Tape Booth at the Expo on Thursday, Friday or Saturday can get taped up for Sunday!
KT Tape is used by athletes to treat common sports injuries such as runner’s knee, shin splints, IT Band pain, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, and quad or hamstring strain. It is the only solution that will provide pain relief and support before, during, and after the race—without restricting motion. At the Expo, the KT Tape team will be available to answer questions, demo product taping methods, and introduce New York City runners to this revolution in pain relief and performance enhancement.
