KT Tape athlete Rebecca Rush returned to Costa Rica to race La Ruta de los Conquistedores and turned out a solid performance with a third place finish in the women’s standings. La Ruta is billed as one of the hardest and most challenging (if not THE most challenging) mountain bike races on Earth. Such a punishing race takes a toll on your body, which is why Rebecca uses the KT Tape brand of kinesiology therapeutic athletic tape for shoulder pain caused by hunching over handle bars for hours at a time. She says it gives her excellent mobility, and she likes not having to take pain medication. Rebecca writes from her website:
I am really proud of how I raced this week and with my performance. I finished third in a very strong women’s category. Unlike 2006, La Ruta did not have its way with me. Instead, I raced well, gave the course the respect it deserved and had a fantastic time.
Thank you to the La Ruta race organizers for a fantastic time and thanks to all the riders who shared time with me over the past four days.
