Rebecca Rusch Places 3rd at La Ruta de los Conquistadores
NOVEMBER 29, 2010
KT Tape athlete Rebecca Rush returned to Costa Rica to race La Ruta de los Conquistedores and turned out a solid performance with a third place finish in the womens standings. La Ruta is billed as one of the hardest and most challenging (if not THE most challenging) mountain bike races on Earth. Such a punishing race takes a toll on your body, which is why Rebecca uses the KT Tape brand of kinesiology therapeutic athletic tape for shoulder pain caused by hunching over handle bars for hours at a time. She says it gives her excellent mobility, and she likes not having to take pain medication. Rebecca writes from her website:
I am really proud of how I raced this week and with my performance. I finished third in a very strong womens category. Unlike 2006, La Ruta did not have its way with me. Instead, I raced well, gave the course the respect it deserved and had a fantastic time.
Thank you to the La Ruta race organizers for a fantastic time and thanks to all the riders who shared time with me over the past four days.
