YogaSlackers Win END-AR in ND
MAY 14, 2010
The Yogaslackers never seem to take a break. They travel the globe competing, organizing races and conducting Yoga workshops. As mentioned earlier, the Yogaslackers are KT Tape athletes and team members, Jason and Chelsey, were in North Dakota facilitating and participating in the first of two END-AR races slated this year in North Dakota. The Yogaslackers are KT Tape fans and have worn KT Tape to alleviate pain and give ease to overworked muscles. The duo also handed out samples of KT Tape to the participating teams. While organizing the race, the Yogaslackers also dominated and won the event.
This first END-AR race is designed to be between 4-6 hours long with the intent to tempt teams back for more in September for the longer adventure race. This shorter race is the newest of the series of "Extreme North Dakota" races and according to the Yogaslacker's blog: "is designed to help grow the community and introduce new teams to the sport, as well as give athletes the confidence to return for the 12 hour END-AR race in September and vie for cash prizes. 18 teams braved the cold sorry weather for a course that included slacklining over a river, mucking through a swamp, an underwater checkpoint, two rogaines (orienteering sections) and several mystery challenges."
The Yogaslackers compiled a great video highlighting the weekend's events. You won't see any visible KT Tape due to the frigid temperatures, but it was there under layers. Check out the Yogaslackers blog for updates of the weekend and where they are headed next.
